About me
I started my track and field career in my adolescence years. Falling in love with the sport and the idea of being an elite athlete, I achieved a few records in high school for the 100m, 4x1, and 4x2. Which earned me a scholarship at Mississippi State University. It's here where I started to understand my potential and running PR best of 10.4 & 20.91.
My career took a turn however when I had to undergo two surgeries, one for a ruptured disc and the other for a pull hamstring tendon just in front of my ACL. Sitting down with my coach and doctors about my college track season, I was informed that they were no longer holding my scholarship due to lack of scoring points and that my body wouldn't recover to 100% strength for sprinting due to the multiple surgeries. My track career was put on hold.
Over the past several years, I've learned how to teach speed as a skill and became apart of the USATF coaching industry. Training athletes on speed efficiency and maintenance when it comes to their specific race event, we've had success with the development of our youth athletes. Preparing them for the demands of collegiate teams while working with our professional usatf team, we learned that maintaining the competitive edge on that level is similar to running your own business. So we developed a mentorship program which blends the education of both speed development and business practices to ensure our community of trackpreneurs can experience success both on and off the field.
